"'Colours of Emotion' explores the use of colour as a powerful form of visual language. In my practice as an intuitive nonrepresentational artist, I am influenced by what I am feeling at the time of creating a painting—a stream of consciousness, drawing from a history of emotional experiences that define who I am. Abstract Art is self-expression unlike any other art form.

My intention is to create a narrative that will resonate with the viewer by expressing emotional memory through colour and composition. Consider how we use colour to signify a wide range of emotions. Blue represents a melancholy feeling or cerebral intelligence. Red often implies anger, as in “seeing red.” It is also linked to passion. We have all heard the expressions “green with envy” and “white with fear.”

I hope that insight into the complexity of colour composition combined with the geometric mapping in these paintings will engage you, the audience, and give you pause to reflect on your own life experiences."

"I'm excited to share these paintings with you taken from images near and far. I hope you are drawn to the beauty that inspired these paintings. Each painting represents a stop on my journey and has been painted on silk with love and restrained excitement."
