Owner and Curator of Soul Gallery, Julie Walsh has been successfully selling original art for the past two decades through her interior design company, Beautiful Spaces Design Mgt. Inc.
The inspiration for opening an art gallery arose from her passion for beauty and her love of original fine art and design.
Walsh’s design expertise serves as a welcome and valuable resource to patrons of Soul Gallery for art consultation, the placement and presentation of original art in their homes or offices, implementing the natural synergy between Art and Design.
Today, Soul Gallery Inc. largely represents established visual artists across a variety of media and genres, and remains committed to excellence in the promotion of exceptional contemporary fine art and design.
History
Soul Gallery originally opened its doors in April of 2011 in the Exchange district of Winnipeg MB. Canada. However, the birth of a unique gallery concept of “An Art Gallery in a Home" followed shortly thereafter during the move of the gallery into a residential area in 2012. Walsh transformed 2000 square feet of a home to successfully showcase the fine art of 33 visual artists and sculptors for the next 13 years.
In 2024 Soul Gallery expanded and relocated to the heart of Winnipeg's art district in the Exchange. This move has made us more accessible and visible, allowing more people to discover our carefully curated and excellent collection of Fine Art. With our city and province's high appreciation for the arts, we are thrilled to have great attendance during our full roster of events planned within the year.
Our new location is a historic building that exudes old-world charm, providing a warm and inspiring atmosphere for art lovers. At Soul Gallery we take pride in offering a personalized experience, engaging with our clients to assist in finding pieces that truly resonate. A key part of our offerings is our in-house Custom Framing business, where we work personally with clients to select the perfect design and frame for their artwork.
