Artist Statement
The work included in this exhibition, CHANGING LIGHT, was created over several years. My ideas and inspiration came primarily from my love of the prairies and my experience living in them.
I love the prairie landscape. Its vast open sky and expansive landmasses, its distinct seasonal changes, its pure light, and its poetic mood, created by the wind and snow of its extreme winter - all of these have continually made the prairie the subject of my interest.
Since long ago Manitoba has been my chosen home, but I keep on growing and learning about myself and my place in it. I am grateful for the opportunity and the experience to live and to work in this wonderful land.
