Megan Krause

The Artist

Megan Krause completed her BFA Honours in Painting at the University of Manitoba in 2011. With an emphasis on the environment and human ecology, her work has gained wide recognition. Krause has received support from both the Manitoba Arts Council and the Winnipeg Arts Council, including the Deep Bay Artists’ Residency, the Churchill Artists’ Residency, and the inaugural Nellie McClung Arts Legacy Award. Megan has taught painting and drawing at the Community School of Music and the Arts and at the Winnipeg Art Gallery Studio. In 2017/18 she served as board chair for Mentoring Artists for Woman’s Art (MAWA), an organization that advocates to further the professional development of women artists in Winnipeg and abroad. 

Megan resides in Winnipeg with her husband Jesse, and together they support each other’s creative endeavours while also raising their two young children.
